We will do everything possible to improve your dental experience. We promise to combine clinical excellence with the latest technology, and a genuine interest in your well-being to create a healthy smile for a lifetime. Our goal is for you to be able to eat, smile, and laugh often with confidence.
Your First Visit
Your first visit is all about you — your comfort, your happiness, and your health.
We enjoy seeing patients of all ages; whether you are bringing your child for the first time, or if you are an octogenarian that loves to smile, we will always make sure your appointments with us are easy! If this is your child's first visit to the dentist, we will always make sure it is a victory!
At your first appointment, we will spend a little time getting to know you and learn more about your medical and dental history. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have. It is always a good idea to write them down so you don't forget to ask!
What to Expect
An intentionally unhurried, comprehensive first exam — here is everything we do, and why.
- Your concerns addressed — we listen before we look
- Screening for oral cancer and other diseases
- TMJ exam — evaluating your jaw joint and bite function
- Low-dose digital X-rays — to reveal what the eye cannot see
- iTero® 3D digital scan of your mouth — no messy impressions, and you see exactly what we see in full 3D
- Intra-oral photos so you can see what we see
- Examination of teeth — every surface, every tooth
- Assess the integrity of existing restorations — crowns, fillings, and prior dental work
- Examination of gum tissues
- Examination of bone supporting teeth and gums
- Risk analysis for cavities, functional issues, and gum disease
- Explanation of findings — in plain language, never dental jargon
- Alternative options — we always present choices, never just one path
- Written treatment plan with costs, estimated insurance coverage, and estimated co-pays — prior to any work being done
Planning Your Time
We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you're preparing to visit the dentist, please remember that your first appointment can last between 60–90 minutes. Making sure that your insurance information has been given to us 24 hours in advance of your appointment and having the paperwork filled out may speed up the appointment time.
If for any reason you get home and have questions or want to go over other treatment or financial options, all you have to do is call. We want to be sure to help you get the results you desire.
New Patient Forms
Complete your new patient forms online before your visit — it only takes a few minutes and shortens your check-in.
Whether it is just a “happy visit” for a 1 year old, or full mouth rehabilitation for an adult, we will make sure you have an enjoyable experience so that the whole family will want to return!
